Ok...Desmond lived a sort of deja vu. But...WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS CLOTHES when he woke up in the jungle? And...who the heck was that old lady in the pawn shop? HOW did that happen to him?

The old lady is sorta like the Island. The island has mystical powers, and it allowed him to temporarly go back in his life, but when he tried to change his destiny, the Island didn't want him too, and as the Old Lady convinced him that it was his destiny.

At the bar he realizes he made a mistake, and plans on hooking back up with his g/f, unfortunately for him, the guy knocked him unconcious and he woke back up on the island.

The island wasn't about to let him change his destiny. And so when he woke up, he couldn't just wake up wearing clothes that he was wearing from his past. Then he would know that it had been real. As it stands now, he doesn't know what to believe. Did he really go back in time or was his mind playing tricks on him while he was unconcious? The answer to that question would be too simple if he still had clothes on.

Yet, he's back on the island, and now has a special ability. Not so much as an ability to see the future, but to remember the future as if it has already happened. Flashes of memory.

However, what good does that do, when your are helpless in the face of destiny, unable to change the eventual course of time? Will Charlie really die? Only time will tell.

not sure what happened to D's clothes... maybe when the hatch imploded it took em (lol). someone at work made an interesting comparison between the pawn shop lady and the Oracle character in "The Matrix"

I was confused too about his "flash back". I think the clothes got "blown off" in the hatch explosion. I don't know who the old lady was, but don't you think he should have asked her why the button saved the world and where the island was since she knew so much?

No one knows what happens on "Lost!" Just quit watching...I had the most wonderful sense of freedom the moment I quit watching. I stopped and haven't been sorry for one second.
