You should ALWAYS provide tracking information to cover yourself. The buyer will contact paypal and you will have to pay them back and they will give you a bad rating. Now since you don't have the tracking info there is no proof that you did send the package. Paypal and Ebay require this info as your proof.

Did you insure the package and get a signature request? Did you state that they where responsible for insuring the package? If you disclosed that they where responsible for insuring the package and they didn't and you didn't then they are out of luck. If you didn't state that they would have to pay for the insurance then you would be out of luck. I think you automatically get $100 in insurance but you would have to check with the post office. Do you have some type of tracking number? Technically the buyer could take you to small claims and give you a bad rating which if you sell on ebay regularly you don't want that, I know if someone has even one bad rating to do with delivery issues I won't buy from them no matter how much I want what they have. See what you can do to make it right.

Did you add a tracking #......thats the best thing to do, because it can save you if the item was delivered. Paypal is good with that kind of coverage and stuff, if they used Paypay to pay with. Thats as much as I know, you may end up having to reinbursed them if they file a report with ebay........You can always chat live with an ebay rep and ask them your questions.

You must prove that you actually sent the package. If you cant, you will have to reimburse the buyer...
P.S. Always pay the extra buck to have delivery confirmation

you can get negative feedback for the transaction. and then if he reports you to paypal most likely you will have to refund the money unless you have a confirmation number to show that you have shipped the item.

If THEY didnt buy shipping insurance and you offered it, there is nothing you can do. But if THEY didnt and you offered it, its Not your fault it got lost in the mail. But if THEY didnt and you DIDNT offer it, you reimburse them.
