If you are acting on impulse then your Id is in charge and your super ego is disengaged. The super ego is the so called "voice of reason". I look at like this: The Id says " I want" The ego says " I'll get it for you" and the super ego says "This is why you shouldn't". It isn't desirable to lose the superego, but it is certainly possible to quell it.

Possible to dissolve? I don't know. Desirable? Sometimes. I think it's possible to disengage from, but only for short periods.

it is impossible. and not very desirable.
the superego does represent cultural beliefs- but it also represents perfect moral values.
the super ego is closely connected to the conscience. lacking one would make you a sociopath
