I wouldn't worry too much. He probably is just measuring the baby and checking things out. Good luck

I will tell you not to worry, but being a mom, I know you will anyway. I am a nurse who has worked in obstetrics. An ultrasound is just one diagnostic tool doctors use to evaluate the health of the unborn baby. The act of measuring the fetus is not an exact science. A mistake of only 1/2 inch is going to plot the baby's growth differently, especially at your early stage of pregnancy. Everything is probably just fine, so try not to worry until you know for sure. When I had my first child, the MD measured by abdomen, and the results stated that the baby would be between 6-7 lbs. He was 9 lbs, 6 1/2 oz. So like I said, it is not an exact science. Good Luck to you and your baby.

There is no reason to worry, you don't know anything yet. Worrying can actualy do harm to yourself, and your baby. Just relax, keep an open mind, and wait for the test. I'm sure everything will be fine. Some babies are smaller then others. I was a bit underweight when I was born, but quickly made up for that. Just follow the dr's orders. And if your in doubt, get a second opinion. Its your right.

No, don't worry. It's only a big deal when the difference is 4 weeks or more. Babies grow @ different rates. My baby is measuring 2 weeks bigger. Crazy how it works.

Don' worry. The measuring of the fundus (fundal height) is very inaccurate. Just sit back and enjoy looking at your baby! Personally I measure about 2-3 weeks ahead of where I'm at.

The best remedy to all pregnancy woes is to relax... it is difficult because we as humans want some sort of control ...with a pregnancy we can't control getting there, keeping it and making it healthy so we panic and stress out over "not knowing"...but as frustrating as it is, better to under weigh then over weigh. If you have to much fluid that could mean higher risks for more abnormalities.
You sound like you are in good hands with your doctor, so just let them do what they can and see where you are. Remember as hard as it is try your best to remain calm and love that little bean ...

Both my girls were petite and measured 5 weeks behind, even on ultrasound, but they were fine at birth. I wouldn't be worried. They're just being careful!

Don't worry at all. I was the same way and I ended up having my daughter two weeks earlier than my due date. She weighed 8 pounds and was healthy.

its just two weeks off, your due date may even be wrong.
what i have noticed about my doctor is that he checks for everything possible that could go wrong and tells me what he is all doing, to get me worried.
i wouldnt worry. good luck though.
