hi there~
Its not unsafe for you to go on the pill at your age, but I'm not sure it will help with your acne. Unfortunately teens go through hormone changes, but the pill really just regulates your cycle, it doesn't so much change your hormone changes. We all have gone through it and I know its frustrating, but its a part of life unfortunately. My best advice is a good cleanser...what worked for me best was Proactive..the one on TV with all the celebrities, its not a hoax...it really works. Try the 30 day sample..its good in size, lasts a while and if it doesnt work you can get your money back. Good luck.

No not really as they are caused by the staph bacteria so why not just ask your doc to start you on antibiotic therapy to help with the acne. There is NO guarantee that the pill will do anything for you acne and the side effects of the pill can be nasty some times.

Yes, if approved by your doctor. The FDA has approved low-dosage birth-control pills (Ortho Tri-Cyclen and generic norgestimate/ethinyl estradiol) for use in the treatment of acne.

Yes, if that is what is prescribed. Plus, it will regulate your period and you can plan for trips & stuff in advance (knowing that you won't be on your period). Good Luck!
