My good friend is a very successful professional bartender. He says, "If you can make people like themselves, they will tip you a lot of money for it".

People look 4 different things. Good places to start are good conversation - an ability to communicate well , perhaps even make people laugh occasionally. Smiles and eye contact, and generally be nice (but assertive - but try not to upset ne1 too much!) to people and have an open mind about people, dont just judge them on what u c.

eye contact, a genuian smile and self confidence are a must but its not something u can do over night especially if ur shy, just try to be open and honest and genuian
