"If yoou cannot affored higher education, it is your parents fault for not working hard at school and getting a decent job".
He said this in full knowledge that I was of a low income family, due to my parents being disabled.
So what do you think? Republican/Conservative or Democrat/Liberal (Conservative or Labour if you're British).

I was scared actually! He was supposed to be my best friend, and I was like - 'Erm, Earth to Chris? The world does not revolve around you and your apparant superiority!'

Oh and get this - the head popular girl at school overhears him, next thing I know, he's telling me to hush it up because it's my fault the whole school now hates him!
(It's not a rich area)
Couldn't even take responsibility, let alone apologise. It was my fault even though he said it, apparantly.

Conservative without a doubt in my mind. A liberal would try to find you alternative funding for school.

Either Democrat or Republican could say this. Either liberal or conservative could have said it. I'm a moderate, and I would have looked at the entire situation and still not made a judgment, just an encouragement. By the way, I only earn about 22-24 thousand a year, and yet I earn WAY too much to get any government grants.
Politicians live in a very cloudy world that dims their view of what the average joe on the street looks like, or lives like. They are up there in the clouds, and we are down here struggling. Look at the fact that not a single senator or congressman/woman's child is fighting in Iraq. No democrats or republicans.

Why are we talking about your parents in the first place? Get off your a*s, get a job, apply for the bazillion and one private scholarships which are offered yet go unclaimed year after year, and pay for it yourself!
Further, if you really are from a low-income family, the government is still aching to throw money at you for you to obtain a degree.

It had to be a conservative. It is surprising how many conservatives think the same way. It is talk radio hate shows such as Limbaugh, hannity, Coulter etc that is causing this.

If your parents are disabled you would probably qualify for a government grant. If there is will, there is a way. For someone to say something like that shows NO class.

Oh there's a lot of uneducated electorate that pull the lever for the two components. i'm for a undemanding civics and intelligence attempt for everybody formerly vote casting. in case you are able to no longer bypass it, you are able to no longer confirm our leaders.

First of all, that was a TRULY crappy response. That isn't how people at the colleges or universities should speak to a student. If it wasn't them, it was still a crappy thing to say. Sounds like a liberal (far left) to me.
