I have a US.Robotics 5451 access point. I need the IP of it,
to install some new firmware.
Of course, 10 points to the first answer that works.

So far, neither answer works.
So, no wireless yet.
Any further advice welcome.

Download and install Advanced IP scanner (free) on a machine that is connected wirelessly to the access point:

http://www.download.com/Advanced-IP-Scanner/3000-2085_4-10558701.html?tag=lst-0-2

Then run it and it will give you all devices on the same network and their IP addresses. Look for your US Robotics 5451.
Don't upload firmware from a machine that is connected wirelessly to your access point. Do it from a wired computer on the same network.

the IP address usually is the address that is listed in your PC as the Default Gateway. So if your PCs Default Gateway is 192.168.1.254, than that's your US Robotics access point.
