did 2 tests this morning and thought they was negative and went back to sleep. woke up to find both had lines. i know to disregard these after 10 mins as can't be a true reading so i tested again and watched the dye move across and a bfp came up straight away. after about 5 hours it slowly started to fade and now there isn't anything at all.

does anyone know why the test would fade like that? could the 2 tests in the morning be positives even though i left it too late to look at them again? has anyone experienced this and been pg?

thanks for any help and advise you can give me.

i will be testing again in the morning btw but would just like to know why the test did what it did

The tests are only good for a small window of time (usually about 10 minutes) from when you first started the test. Don't go back and look at the test again after that time. It is something to do with the chemicals in the test and how they interact with your pee. If you had any kind of positive in the time frame it says on the pack, it generally means you are pregnant. Go to the doctor - Good Luck

Normal tests will fade after a certain amount of time, the packages all say as well 'do not read this test after 10 hours', the air gets to them and it has an effect.

I tried to save my first positive pregnancy test with dh after having a tubal reversal {reconnected my tubes to get pregnant- after having them tied} and after 3 days I could not even read it anymore. So no worries I am sure that YOU are still pregnant and everything is fine,it is just the test.

Yeah I'd suggest to test again as well, there could be a false negative much more than a false positive,my test usually disappears after awhile and there is nothing.Good luck :-)

Congrats on your large information. bearing directly to the progesterone suppositories, i might ask for them staggering away. My dr. follows the john Hopkins protocol which starts off them 2 days positioned up ovulation and keeps till 3 months. My buddy has low progesterone and has m/c three times and the dr replaced her to 3 suppositories an afternoon in the previous they even observed the pulse. i might push for it faster just to be risk-free. stable good fortune.
