AVG, it is free on the internet and very safe. Norton causes problems with everything else and slows your computer to a crawl.

OK. Good, free, award-winning security software would be:
ClamWin (Anti-Virus)
Avast! (Anti-Virus)
ZoneAlarm (Firewall)
SpyBot: Search & Destroy (Anti-SpyWare)
I have my PC protected with these programs. Download them at www.download.com
Good Luck!

I think all of them have one problem or another...it all depends on your preference and what is compatible with your PC.
