Hopefully you have checked with your pediatrician???? Usually a bluish color to lips, nailbeds etc mean a lack of oxygenation to the tissues..& that the circulation is poor. This is NOT normal & you should have a physician check on your child. Frequently when adults have bluish lips & nailbeds, they are not taking in enough oxygen in the body. PLEASE have your child checked as soon as possible!

Either your baby has as circulatory problem, or more likely she is not getting enough oxygen.
Did she have a chest cold recently? Because it is possible for a child to have pneumonia and on the surface look healthy, it depends on where exactly the bacteria is lodged in the lung.
You need to take your child to the ER now.. why would you have waited a whole week is beyond me, but hey, you didn't know.
Good Luck and I hope everything works out.

When there is a depletion in oxygen the lips will turn blue. That is not good. Same with the fingernails. When you push/squeeze gently on her fingernails, it should turn white than return pink in approximatel 2-3 seconds. If her nails are blue, please take her to her pediatrician and tell him what is going on. There are pain free tests to assess the oxygen levels in her body. Good luck.

She may just be cold. Or it may be something a bit more serious , maybe anemia . I have included a little info below that may help you. My suggestion is that you have her examined by a physician.
Cyanosis is a bluish discoloration of the skin or mucous membranes caused by lack of oxygen in the blood.
Skin coloration is determined by the amount of pigment in the skin and the blood flowing through it. Blood that is saturated with oxygen is bright red. Blood that has lost its oxygen is dark bluish-red. People who have a large quantity of blood deficient in oxygen tend to take on a bluish discoloration called cyanosis.
Lack of oxygen (such as in suffocation or cyanotic heart disease), abnormal hemoglobin (such as methemoglobinemia) and toxins (such as cyanide) can all produce cyanosis. Most cyanosis occurs as a result of heart disease such as congestive heart failure, lung disease, or as a terminal event as in cardiopulmonary arrest.
Mild cyanosis is difficult to detect. There needs to be more than 5 grams of deoxygenated hemoglobin in a person's bloodstream to see cyanosis. Usually the oxygen saturation of the blood has to drop below 90% before this occurs.
Cyanosis is more obvious in the mucous membranes and nail beds, particularly for dark-skinned people. It can also appear on the feet, nose, and ears.
Many people get brief bluish-purplish painful color changes in their fingers -- this is called Raynaud's Syndrome which results from spasm of blood vessels in the hands, often in response to the cold. Some people with Raynaud's Syndrome also have a collagen-vascular disease called scleroderma.
