it's in bad shpe and going to sink but you have maybe a few hours to help yourself to parts of the boat, what would you take? Let's assume you are a pirate type and are not concerned about legalities, just with what you can carry away. Let's assume you have big boat and lots of tools and a couple friends to help you.

i think i am right here in saying that if u find a boat a drift with no people on board the boat is actually yours to take by law,so i was told the other day at work.But if i found a sinking boat i would toe it to a great fishing spot and let it sink.i would take the motor and drive shafts, stainless steel fittings, electronics and the spa bath and booze.

first i would check to make sure the previous looters had really gotten all alcohol and weapons, if there was a bar i might consider taking the bar stools, if they were nice, i would take the steering wheel, and if there was a nicer bed than the one on my pirate ship i would take that too, also i would see if they had any backups of any engine fluids, or any entertainment equipment
