1. I am disappointed.
2. I get angry
3. I ask myself, "how did I attract this situation?" because I believe our lives and relationships mirror our thoughts and beliefs
4. I ask myself if the relationship is worth any further investment on my part?
5. I work at forgiving the person (and my misguided self for ignoring the warning signs) and attempt to move on in my life - it is not good to remain stuck. ALL healing requires forgiveness. That does not mean you allow the person to do it to you again, but you forgive them and move on.

1st off, this is 3 separate questions.
1) boyfriend who cheats.... dump him now. This will never stop and is the ultimate breech of trust.

2) friend lying - talk to them. If they admit it and ask forgiveness, forgive. But watch it. If it happens again, you have to really think is this relationship worth keeping up?

3) a threat is nothing to fool around with. Someone who threatens you has a serious control problem. I would probably politely back off and have nothing more to do with them. If you work with them, you must try to keep everything on a business level and not have anything personal enter the scene. If you are socializing with them, try to avoid the same functions.

Getting over a boyfriend was easy for me - once a jerk, always a jerk and I'm better than that and deserve better.

Lying friend - like I said, forgive and forget until it happens again. But don't hover over the possiblity cause it can drive you to distraction and that's not fair to either you or her. Remember that friendships come and go though.

Threats - easy - avoidance and forget it.

My anger is usually manifest when I talk about the situation to my husband. I know that's easy for me to say - but he understands why I'm angry. He will also not hesitate to call me on it if my anger is not warrented.

It is terrible because I must have failed to fight them in some way when I had the chance. For a time I am so mad at myself. It may be possible to work WITH them, with good results in which case I have to let them lead now. This may work out more successfully than my own leadership would have been considering my start in this instance. How defend myself I use logic and honesty and the opponent is under pressure to do his best. Do I get over it?Recover? My cooperation looks like it, we work in partnership..If I don't entirely forgive myself it's private, anything I don't win today I'll get with interest tomorrow

Well..I just went through it.
My reaction was shock, hurt, anger, Lots of Anger.
I had to defend myself by being honest and letting that person know more than once that he disgusted me and he was wrong not me, because his lies turned into manipualtion. Big Time.
I had to go for therapy, 8 months and I now cry once if that a day.
I handled my anger with lots of crying and yelling at his voice mail, I know it was bad, but now looking back he so deserved everything I said to him, and I do not regret it, I was being honest.
Hope this helped.

From a Man's Stand Point? No Trust? No Love. No Love? No relationship. No BF? No reason to even be around him. Case Closed!

I will still do it a nice way no matter how it was. I will just ignore the person and talk to the person diplomatically. Then leave his life and start on my own in a refreshing way forgetting all about the person.

I get FURIOUS.......it takes a wicked lot to earn my trust so if someone breaks it after I finally reach that point then I am pretty much done with them. I might still talk to them but as far as my trust goes they are S.O.L.

If someone violates my trust or hurts my feelings, I usually stab myself in the eye with the jagged edge of a broken whiskey bottle. Then I feel better.
