I tried burning CDs for friends and family through my iTunes but whenever I give them the CD and they play it on their own computers, there is no information about the song, just the word, "Track 1" and so on and so forth. What is causing this? Can I do something to make iTunes store the song data for my friends to see whenever they play their CDs on their own iTunes in their own computers? Thanks! :)

Many PC based CD music programs download the list of artists/songs based off an id on the CD. This description is added to the PC song collection for your benefit.

When you burn a CD, this information is not copied to the CD, so when you play the CD on another format, the artist/title information may not be available.

If you want artist/title information, try another format such as Windows Media Player or Roxio Easy CD Creator, which allows you to name tracks on the CD that you are recording.

I believe you go to the edit tab, click preferences, go to the advanced tab, then the burning tab, and check include CD text.
