Jesse Jackson; Alan Keyes; Al Sharpton and now Barak Obama?
Who does white America think they['re fooling?
We ALL know that white America is NOT going to vote a black man into the presidency of the United States and black voters in America will listen to ALL the inane reasons that the white media gives them as reasons to NOT vote for Obama.
They'll listen and he WON'T get the Democratic nomination.
At this point in the process, Hillary Clinton seems to be the candidate to get the Democratic nomination.
Whoever it is that becomes president;
pray that they get out of Iraq and stop trying to pick a fight with Iran before it is TOO LATE.
If Iran isn't trying to develop nuclear weaponry, they will if George Bush keeps picking a fight with them.

Probably not -- but he knows he'll have a fun run, and it is never certain that you can say a certain candidate cannot become president. But here is my prediction:

Dems will publicly go crazy over him at rallies (he is charismatic, smart, and smooth) but won't vote for him at the polls -- using as an excuse for their paternalistic bigotry that American voters are too bigotted to vote for him.

As a white person, I wouldn't mind voting for Barak Obama. I think Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are both buffoons, but that has nothing to do with their race, only with their behavior.

Keep in mind that MANY people run for president knowing full well that they won't win. Their goal isn't to win, it is to get some attention from the media.

I think if Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, then we'll have another Republican president.

And I agree with you completely that we must leave Iraq for everyone's benefit and George Bush has been the worst president this country has ever had.

Yes. Barack Obama thinks he can win and be president. I predict Barack Obama will be elected president in 2008. I'm a Democrat, but when I heard Hillary Clinton didn't attend any of the funerals of the 9/11 victims I lost faith in her. And if voters really take a look at Obama vs. Clinton, they will see he is much superior candidate, she's an awful speaker. Senator Obama can carry most of the Northeast and all of the other states carried by John Kerry, the election will likely be decided in states like Missouri, Ohio and Florida.

He thinks he has a good chance of either winning President or Vice President, and either one is a decent job. Vice President may be an even better job to be in directly after Bush leaves office (since America and Iraq will probably be somewhat of a mess).

Also, if he does only become Vice President this time, he will be placing himself in a good position for President in the future. Everyone, including Oprah, has advised him to run now, and who can say no to Oprah?

Why does anyone want to get a person in the White House w/a connection to the scandals that theClintons have had. MsBarbOlson had just released an exposse' of them but was killed on 9/11pent.plane. If you're planning for BOba look up a site someone here gave: BarackObama MauMau Kenya. Is everybody going to follow those with the big lobbyists behind them? How do they stand on border security?

Yes, I do
edit: I think that Obama appears to be more middle of the road then the ones that you mentioned, he is serious, intelligent and possible the best candidate of them all both R. and D. because of his fresh approach to politics. I think as he gets better known, that he will get his message to the people, if they listen and not let prejudged notions affect their votes that he quite possibly be the next president of the U.S. I personally want to know more before I do vote for him but at this time of the campaign I am quiet impressed with what I see.

It's all a Smoke Screen.
The News Media & the Rich Ruling Class decided in 1993 that Hillary would become a president.
Osama Obama knows that.
He will end up "bowing down" and becoming "Hillary's boy" to get the VP slot.
John Edwards, shyster white boy lawyer, is trying to do the same thing.
ALL THE DEMOCRATS KNOW THAT HILLARY IS THE WINNER.

Yes, I think that he has a chance. I'm white & his race means nothing to me. I just like what I have seen of him & read about him. I'm really tired of the race issue. We are all Americans & blacks have been here as long as we have, so why not let them take their rightful place in all walks of life, even the Presidency!
At times I have been made to feel that blacks don't accept me. So maybe all of the racists aren't white.

No I don't think he believes he'll win. In the minds of those backing him, it's process of trying until it really happens. There is a great deal of Afro-Americans that could win the presidential election, but he's not one of them. As far as Iran goes, they've been asking for it from America for 30 years and if we don't we eventually will.

I think that Obama actually has a chance. He is a very nice man and that is unusual in this day of politics. Hilary has a lot of people mad at her.
