A.I. tapped my vein. A modern day rendition of Pinnochio...done to perfection. I found myself wiping my face as the credits rolled. Touched a very personal note within my life. Good stuff.
Minority Report would have been a classic with a real actor to carry the weight of a man who has lost his son. The precog played by Samantha Morton...for me... was the film. Her performance was flawless. The scene where she speaks to Tom and his wife of what the son's life would be if he had lived...is pure poetry...a thing of beauty.....but not enough to help this piece of deadwood come to life.
I look forward to stellar work from her...

oooh, that is a very good question. I like them both. I would have to go for A.I. because I was more reluctant to watch Minority Report. It is one of the only three hour movies I can tolerate as well. Also the surreal feeling of the whole thing. Can you just imagine living in a world where there is nothing but water and the only thing that mankind can make are robots for companions and then just killing them off after the robot freaks you out?

Both were excellent movies but there was more drama, some suspense, in MINORITY REPORT. Plus, hey, Colin Farrell is hot! Even in a dorky small role like that.... I wish he'd had a bigger role.
It was kind of disturbing to think of people being sentenced for something they hadn't done but just mght do.

Minority Report.
The ending of AI just seemed odd - it didn't fit with the first 2/3rds of the movie.

They are both good, but A.I. held together better.
