I rent in MI and the owner has a landlords liscense which requires the city to inspect the property every 2 years. What a joke! Nothing is done, miminal maintanence is done and my health is suffering. Other than move, what recourse?

you're not understnading. It is a city inspected property and is literally falling apart with dangerous air quality. Not only is it not to code, the city is turning a deaf ear to me.

If he is keeping up with the city codes, not much can be done. If you think your living conditions are that poor, your best option would be to move. It's his house, you can't force him to do more than is required of him.
