How do you burn The Sims 2 game to a blank C.D.?

I want to burn The Sims 2, and only that version, unto a blank C.D. I just don't know how. It's a gift for someone since they can't afford the game.

use a cd burner and nero burning program.
you will need to find a no cd patch and burn it onto a cd as well.
you should be able to get the patch from a game burning website.

It's illegal to burn it, even if it's for your friend. I wouldn't post this on the internet, or you could get fined MAJOR.
