From big string to small-- E , A , D , G , B , E. That is the most common tuning anyway.

incase you forget what the strings are...when my friend first started to play the guitar, he remembered the strings with a little saying...
...Elephants And Dogs Got Big Ears! lol

this is from the thickest string downwards!
