I've been working in Japan for a couple of years, coming back things have changed just too much in my old hometown. I think Wales might be the perfect fresh start. I live now in Coventry (Earlsdon Area-a little bit of a boho village right next to the city centre great shops nice homes, young-ish vibe little bit studenty).
I'm looking for somewhere similar to settle.
So how about Cardiff !!! - I'd like to live between a University & city centre, as these are the 2 most likely places I would work. I do not drive & would have to get about on foot & by bus. I'm still pretty young so close to coffee-shops bars & nightclubs but not above one. Have about 120k & could stretch to another 15k or so if pushed. Would like two or three bedrooms(3 would be better) do not mind if a new build (in fact this might be better than a fixer-up this time round) I do like having space to move about-tiny rooms & houses are not for me.So what area of Cardiff should I look at please.

Somewhere in the Cathays/ Roath area is the obvious answer, though there are a lot of student houses in the area, so you might want to choose your house carefully! I know quite a few young professionals who live in places like Richmond Road and they seem very happy. It's not at all far from town, so you there's no shortage of places to go. It's also walkable from that area into town and the university, plus there are buses etc.

Another possibility would be Cardiff Bay, which is now a really lively place to be. There are loads of eating and drinking places, plus the Millennium Centre. The only thing is that I think most of the accommodation is in flats, which might not suit you if you prefer lots of space.
