He was supposed to fall on the table, but it wasn't supposed to break. That's why David Spade was laughing so much.

nope, it wasn't supposed to happen. I saw it on a special edition disc, i don't even remember which one it was, but with the commentary. The David Spade one or Chris Farley one maybe?
But no, that wasn't supposed to happen, if you look at David Spade's face he seems thoroughly surprised.

I'm sure they knew the table was going to break. You can't drop 300+ lbs on any coffe table and expect it to stay together. Gotta be one of the funniest sketches, ever.
