One day the bad effects of drugs will be gone, but would u really want to live in a world where every ones just happy? Not achieving or fighting, just drug induced happiness and peace (or in other words the 60’s! but with out the bad results e.g addiction and mental and physical harm) in a world where we could just choose to be in a state of happiness that you didn’t have to leave, would that be so bad? We wouldn’t ‘do’ any more (no struggle, stress or pain), we would just ‘be’ happy and content or if we wanted- deliriously happy.
P.S. I’m also assuming we have made a pill for all our food and drink needs and still have children.

There are many positive attributes for this type of drug that would impact on society in much the same way but especially in the field of health and crime i.e:

-no bad side effects
-no overdosing
-less need for clinics
-aternative uses for terminally ill patients
-alternative uses for depression and other mental illnesses

-lower crime rate
-less drug smuggling
-less drug violence

-a more suitable and safer alternative for recreational use than cocaine, heroin or metamphetamine

-less money spent overall from the tax payer

However, people will always look for ways to exploit any drug but I believe the abuse of this drug or negative impact on society wouldnt be any more than what it is today.

Yes I would certainly consider the use of the happy pill as an appropriate recreational option (i.e. hangover Vs no hangover, legal Vs illegal) but I wouldnt allow this thing to rule my life. Nothing can substitute for real love of life and what it has to offer.

There are products made from BZP, which are freely available in a lot of countries that mimic every type of illicit drugs including Cocaine, Ecstasy, LSD etc. these pills are non addictive and have no reported fatalities with well over 20 million sold by retail and website outlets in the last six years, I know for certain that a lot of illegal drug users have changed there habits and switched to these safer alternatives. Unfortunately some governments have banned BZP because it is still not sociably acceptable to use mind altering products (other than alcohol which is probably the worlds most dangerous and harmful drug).

where would be the fun in that? it sounds like youre advocating A Brave New World... there'd be no point to living. it would all be fake. There is a need for duality in this world. You can't have the good without the bad, the happy without the sad. so i would be a Savage in that world and stay away from the Soma

Absolutely NOT! I want to live in the world of reality, no matter what comes my way. Whether happiness or sorrow, whether prosperity or hardship, whether sickness or health, whether love or loneliness, being in the right frame of mind and facing life head on is the way I want to live. I want nothing to do with drugs in any way, shape, or form. Our bodies were never meant to ingest that trash. I am a realist, and I live in a real world. Thank you for asking.

Their would be no excitement in life and no one would no what to do when the Sun comes out after two weeks of overcast skys.I prefer to have ups and downs in life . Giving birth would not be the wonderful thing that it is . Holding your sleeping grandchild, sitting in a swing in your backyard. enjoying a waterfall, knowing that you have a family to be with for Sunday dinner. Friendships from Childhood. Memories.I do not need drugs for this.
