why do people do things that they dont want to do?

cause sometimes i do things my friends want me to do but i dont!i dont even know why i do it! plez help me!!

'Cause humans in general are pack animals and it's so much harder, and riskier, to step outside the pack and say, "thanks but I don't think so." You'll be challenged, you'll be chided, you might be left outside the group where it can get a lonely and cold. But the real friends will wander back to make sure you're doing fine and will like you even better for having guts to stand up for your own beliefs. If you have a leader to follow, you don't need to think, you don't need to make any decisions that might turn out wrong that you'll be blamed for, you just follow along, even if that leader says you all have to drink cyanide and die. You ought to get used to saying no to those things you don't really want to do, just for the practice because later in life, you'll probably have situations where you will have to stand up for yourself and the more practice you get now, the better at it you'll be when it is a life and dead or life altering decision.

I do stuff i dont want 2 do 4 friends alot 2, basically bcause i love them and i dont want nething 2 happen 2 them. i figure if im there i can stop them from doin sumthing stupid. plus its great 2 rebel and/or b able 2 talk about the crazy stuff we did later.

You do it to feel accepted and you want to be cool. Don't do things if you don't want to grow a back bone and stand up for yourself. If they are your true friends then they will understand and accept you no matter what

You do it to please your friends.
Sometimes I will do something I don't particularly want to do, as a favor to somebody.
But it is not always worth it to me.
