My ex-girlfriend's brother edits video tapes before her and her mother watch them. For example, when he edited Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade he took recorded over the two romantic scenes where they kissed or whatever leaving it black during that part. Unfortunately, he couldn't do that to all the scenes with violence or the movie would make no sense so he just told them to cover their eyes during the shooting parts, the snakes or rats, or the scene where that guy disentegrates. He also had TV guardian which muted the foul language (which I use sometimes as well). I thought it was a fantastic idea because it allows women to watch more movies that way by keeping them protected from the racy scenes. Ofcourse, due to the violence, I'm not sure why the heck we watched it with women but it was something he wanted to do so that is why we did it. I'm wondering how many other men do this for their ladies. Such self-sacrifice with all their time involved editing shows a lot of love.

I wouldn't watch an edited movie. If I was told to cover my eyes, I'd laugh in their face. I'm not a child.

Yeah, he wants to keep me from being socially aware of what goes on around me so I will be to dumb to notice when something bad is happening! Yeah right, get a life already would ya?

im an adult, i can take love scenes and violence.
