I need a new televison set, and this is the television section. Can anyone please help me out? I only got 200 bucks, and want something simple. Will this limit me to a small 17" wood box TV with dials and no remote? Can I find something like this at the Sears 5 blocks away from my apartment? I have been in prison for over 20 years and have no idea as to how television sets have changed, so please don't laugh at me. I have been found innocent of murder, if anyone needs to know, and am typing this post at a local library.

If you have a spending budget of 200 dollars you should be able to find a decent television set. I would personally start doing my research on the internet of course like perhaps "Ebay" maybe? And afterwards I would visit an electronics store i.e "Best Buy" and check out what they have there. Now a days the standard TV set is a flat panel and yes, it would include a remote lol...

For wood go to a pawn shop. Otherwise you can find what you are looking for at Sears. Cabinet sets are a thing of the past.

If you can get to a Wal-Mart, you can get a pretty good tv for $200. You could get at least a 25" set for that. You might even be able to get a 32" tv, depending on what kind of sales they are having.

You may want to consider looking for keys under matts. That is where my friend got his TV. This is a joke so do not take me seriously. Anyway I suggest you go to circuit city. My TV that I bought there cost me under 3 grand and it is crystal clear. They have the best Plasma screen and it looks great in my huge home located in the mountains of santa cruz california.

Wal-Mart is hard to beat for TV's.

I saw a 20" Magnavox for under $100.

Just talk to a sales associate at your local Sears, they can explain all the technological advances.
