I had some family pictures sent to me and I saved them to my hard drive. I now am trying to save them on to a CD-R and I keep getting the message

" Cannot copy picture. Files on this CD-ROM are read only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CD-ROM drive. "

There are pictures already on this CD and I went into properties to change them from Read only to normal and it says I can't.

The pictures sent to me are not read only, so is there a way to save these on to a CD ?

The CD is CD-R (meaning writeable once).... not CD-RW (meaning re-writeable). Once you put any files on a CD-R during a single session, then you cannot add more later. The computer closed the volume probably.

You'll need to use another CD-R disc.

Highlight Them All...Right Click...Click Properties...Then Uncheck The Box That Says "Read-Only"
