The Americans? Aren't Democrats and Republicans both American?

The Senate may have rejected the House bill, but it's important to remember that the House bill was non binding (i.e. it doesn't matter). It's hard for me to get fired up over a resolution that means nothing.

It was a complete waste of time and sends the wrong signals to our men and women in the military! Why have our elected officials "given up" on our troops?

Most Americans oppose Bush and his horrible stupid war based on lies so Americans lost thanks to the minority of right wing kooks in the Senate who are defending Bush's lies and failures.

They need to lose in the next election to teach them not to ignore the American people who voted for an end to the war, lies, crimes and torture of the idiotic Bush people.
