You know we couldn't just take a regular umbrella and

That's impossible. although it you really think about it, It actually does rain UP when the sun evaporates the water and moisture from puddles and bodies of water on Earth, but not in the sense you're thinking.

That is highly irregular that would happen. The gravity pull which makes all objects stay at the ground would not permit that from happening. However if that could ever happen (and it wont) my guess is that once it enters into the stratosphere it would dry up and the water particles would be no more
