Hmm, very good question!

I have a few, I can't choose one over the other as they have had different impacts and can't be compared.

My mother: nearly 30 years (gulp!) Even though we often disagree, it never lasts, and she is always there for me. We can always apologise almost instantly when we do argue.

My son: nearly 10 years (bigger gulp lol!) He made me grow up and take on responsibility. He has also taught me what unconditional love is, both for and from him.

My partner: 1 year. He has helped me to be incredibly strong through some very difficult personal things over the last 12 months. I'm not sure I could have done it without him.

My daughter: 21 weeks inside me and not enough time to say good-bye, but her death made me a lot stronger and fastened my beliefs.

My best friend: nearly 19 years. Although she has nothing she would give me her last penny, and vice versa. We lost touch for about 6 years, and lost nothing in our relationship except time.

My ex-husband: nearly 12 years. He helped me to realise I deserve better in life (than him).

Since this section is titled Earth Science and Geology I will give you the Earth Science and Geology answer. When I was a kid, another kid threw a rock at me. That rock had an impact on my forehead, and it hurt. I did not know the kid who hurled the rock and I have no relationship with him. It may be a stupid answer but at least it has some Geology (an unnamed rock) in it. Your question has no such connection.
