The HUD site ( http://www.hud.gov )is useful.

Fannie Mae's site ( http://www.fanniemae.com )is surprisingly good.

Unless you like having an organization's selfish interests crammed down your throat, avoid the Realtor site.

You can't beat this site for demystifying the home buying process: http://www.first-time-home-buying.net
