Yep, that's the nature of loving people. You can dislike what they've done at times if they've wronged you but you still need to care (even if it has to be at a distance if you can't trust them to not wanna be a thorn in your side) because you don't want their callousedness to become your character flaw, too. :)
Some have said yes, & it's their spouse. Well, good for you especially if there's children involved & how involved or affecting their uncaring could be. That's the for better or worse & hope time will change their hearts. Keep working on them, at least you gave it your all. :)

Well, it truly depends on the person. I mean, sometimes, I honestly think that my own mother doesn't care what I do. But I still care about her.
A good example for my personal life is when my aunt had a pre-mature baby. It was in critical condition, and still is, for that matter. I cared so deeply about that baby. But the baby doesn't even know who I am!
So it really depends on the person, and sometimes, what mood I am in ;)

I've been there before. It's hard to get over someone you care for even if they don't care about you. I still care for everyone I've ever dated. I honestly don't hate any of them. I'm sure they couldn't care less about me. My son's father is a good example. I still care for him even though he cheated on me. We have a child together. I will always care for him somewhat. No matter what he does or doesn't do. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have my baby.

The Holy Covenant of the Modern Apostles demand that ....
"Thyself carest for thou foremost since none will dost thus."
So going by the dictum it is in your best interest to dump them and dont forget to get rid of the unholy water.

Yes. We all do this to a certain degree. Imagine how much worse this world would be if we all only cared for those who care for us. Caring doesn't mean dating.

Yes. JESUS cared enough about us to take our place on the cross. Even when we didn't care about HIM. satan came to kill steal and destroy; he is the father of lies. If a person doesn't care and love everyone, then they only love themselves. So you are only cared about when you please them. When they get tired of you they dump you and move on. What type of person do you want to care about you? what kind of person do you want to be?

I don't think you can turn on or off caring for someone, but you could chose if or if not to be in a relationship with them. I would not be in a relationship with someone who did not respect me.
