get a rock!!! :-) Lol. my parents wouldnt let me get another pet until i showed that im responsible enought to have another one.
so the first thing i did was get a rock and i colored it like the hamster i wanted.I took care of and my other pets for 2weeks. I had everything for it. a cage, food (which was dirt), "toys" made out of stuff i found around the house. I cleaned the cage and such too. gave it fresh water.
After the 2 weeks were up i did some research on the pet i wanted and made a powerpoin/slide should and titled it "Why Kay is responsible enough to take care of a hamster!"
I made it nice a pretty complete with pictures and everthing. including prices of things i need.
The last thing on my slide was how i took care of my rock pet. (i named my rock Lily i still have her to this day....wait a sec! I just did this less then a week ago! LOL)
This wont nessicarilly change your parents (it did for me but you never know. your parents arent mine) mind but i can garentee you will learn alot.
The other thing is i have to pay for it myself, get good grades, clean my room and help around the house. but its sooo worth it!!!
(if u dont have a stead income like me what i do is i have a piggy bank and when i find change or get a babysitting job i put it in there. not all of it but some of it. ive been saving for about four months and i already have $40!!)
HOPE I HELPED!!! Good luck!! :-)
Kay.

Rather than getting another animal, why not try to find an activity to spend more time with the pets you have. Why not take your dogs to dog training or the dog park? Or train your hermit crabs to walk on a leash? Really, they have shells with d-rings glued to them so that they can be walked!
I appreciate that you are trying to give another animal a home, but you have to make sure that it's not at the expense of the other animals happiness.

Hold on, before you get anymore pets think seriously about the ones you have. Are you taking the best possible care you possibly could of each one of them? Do you really spend as much time as you should with all of them? Pets are not toys, and you shouldn't get one as soon as you lose interest in your old ones. If ou really are taking excellent care of all of them then I guess you could think about getting another one. But first think carefully about how it will affect the pets you already have. It really disrupts an animals life to throw another one into the mix, and you could end up with problems. It would be great if you could consider doing something fun with your other pets instead. Maybe take your dogs to an agility class or something, or work on some tricks. At the very least please get your pets at a shelter. Don't become an irresponsible person.

Get a monkey. How fun would that be! You could train it to entertain all of your parents guests.
Or a bird. Especially one that can talk. Train it to say "Hello, pretty princess!" to your mother.
Or you could go for a pony . . .
With dogs and cats, one way a friend of mine convinced her parents when she was young was that she got the dog for a specific reason: she trained it to lead the blind (she did have to give it up of course to a blind person after a while, though). Her dad, who would have said "no" because they had tons of pets, said yes because of this. If that were the case, you would most likely get a lab. I don't know the organization she went through, though. You'd have to ask around or look on the internet.

New Flash DO NOT DONATE TO THE Humane Society of the United States!
They do not even have ONE shelter they have NO shelters, they are a political PAC that people donate to thinking because of the name that they have shelters. WRONG HSUS is a Vegan Lobbying organization whose purpose is to pass laws limiting animal use and even PET OWNERSHIP like Peta they are against animals and Vegan run.
Wayne Pacelle head of HSUS (The Humane Society of the US) has said:
“I don’t have a hands-on fondness for animals…To this day I don’t feel bonded to any non-human animal. I like them and I pet them and I’m kind to them, but there’s no special bond between me and other animals.” Wayne Pacelle quoted in Bloodties: Nature, Culture and the Hunt by Ted Kerasote, 1993, p. 251.
"We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding. . One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding." Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP of Humane Society of the US, formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Animal People, May, 1993
When asked if he envisioned a future without pets, “If I had my personal view, perhaps that might take hold. In fact, I don’t want to see another dog or cat born.” Wayne Pacelle quoted in Bloodties: Nature, Culture and the Hunt by Ted Kerasote, 1993, p. 266.
Do NOT DONATE to these people they do not take care of animals they are Vegans and they believe that man has no business owning any animals at all, they want to set them all free to die in the wild. Peta Killed them for a reason, because to Peta they are better dead than Fed. Please read more at the links bellow:

You should give your parents a break, but if you must have another pet try a rabbit. I bet the pet food bill must be breaking the bank for your parents.
I don't know how old you are but a boyfriend might be good.

i'd say just look after the ones you have now
and if you have to get something else
get a friend for the hamster
get it from the rspca, instead of from a pet shop, that way your saving orphan animals =]

It sounds like you have enough pets already. Whether or not you want more, it might end up a hassle to have any more pets than you already do.
