Yes, I was bullied at work and I took that manager on and threatened union intervention then the silly cow backed down but then proceeded to make my life a misery for a few months before I got a different manager. I just feel sorry for her husband and child who have to spend a lot of time with her crazy thoughts. And if she ever got hit by a bus I would not stop to help her.......................

The first time you let someone bully you, you are putting a sign around your neck that says 'victim'. Here is how you get along at work: be cheerful all the time; be friendly to everyone; don't let anyone walk on you; don't discuss personal things at work because you never know who will spread it all over the world; don't repeat personal things that others say to you. Show up every day on time looking great and be cheerful, do your job well, and never ever give in to the temptation to gossip. If someone is really bullying you, stand up to them. Say cheerfully with a smile, "I think you are trying to intimidate me, but I'm afraid that won't work. You need to find someone else to pick on. So let's decide to be friendly to each other from now on. Ok?"
People can't bully you if you don't let them, and if you name the drama - put clear words to what is happening, bring it immediately into the open - then bullies tend to get confused and fearful. Name the drama and it loses its power over you.
Good luck.

At every job there is always one person that is causing trouble. they pretend they are your friends and gain your trust. When you tell them something private or something about another worker, the first thing they do is tell every employee what you said I can't stand that. And of course you always have those workers trying to take credit for someone else's work or pretending to work when the supervisors come around then continue slacking when they leave. Finally you have the snitch. The worse employee of all. This is the person that tells the manager that you took sick leave because you stayed out late last night or they saw you shopping when you were supposed to be at work. They do not tell because its the right thing to do they tell because they love to see some drama and someone get in trouble.

I've usually done contracting thankfully, but I've had jobs with awful people. In those jobs I've kept my mouth closed and told them little about themself, just concentrating on getting the job done, doing a good job, not getting involved in their ridiculous politics and then got out. If i hated the people I worked with I would leave, If i was being bullied I would try to get justice, then leave.

Ive never been bullied - i wouldn't stand for it

i hate this one woman as she s so 2 faced, she slags people off then the next minute i see her talking to them like she is their best friend- she makes me sick.

she is also a manipulator and a liar- but if you met her you would think she is the nicest person in the world - that is how good she is

I used to hate this prat I had to work with, he was just stupid, his mother was the boss though so that's the only reason I can imagine that he managed to get a job. He'd just talk constantly, laugh for no reason, whistle all the time, I think he was 'special' actually... or just a daft little sod.

I used to work in a cosmetics department at a department store and most of the people there are snobby and witchy (not to mention sale stealers), everybody talks behind everybody's back and there is just a lot of drama. Most of the time you just ignore the other people, but sometimes they just get on your nerves.
