Almost every forum uses what is called BBCode. You can use that to add images to your signatures, etc. If you see other people giving links to things in your forum, that means it has enabled BBCode.

The easiest thing to do would be to go to http://www.imagevenue.com and upload your picture there. They will give you the BBCode link to use in your forum; it will contain a thumbnail image.

If you want to use text instead of the thumbnail, you replace the [img][/img] tags, and all the text between them, with your text.

An alternative is, if you have a different Web host, such as Geocities, to use that.

Let's suppose your full-sized picture is at http://www.geocities.com/ your_yahoo_username /amy.jpg (without the spaces in the link; I needed to add them so Y! Answers would show the whole thing).

Your BBCode link would be this (without the spaces in the link):

[url=http://www.geocities.com/ your_yahoo_username /amy.jpg]My picture[/url]

You can find a full BBCode tutorial here:

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/faq.php?mode=bbcode

To do this you need HTML which is a code that is used to make webistes, here is the code:
Click here to see my pic

You can replace the "Click here to see my pic" by anything you want, and replace the "URL of your pic" by the location or page you want the user to go to when clicked. Just do the changes and copy and paste this code in to the forum and it will come up as a link.

Try Apollo VIII's suggestion...sometimes depending on the site or page you are posting to... this kinda feature might be disabled....but again there's no harm in trying!

Good luck...:)
