As several other people have pointed out, on or around the Island of Komodo (the Komodo dragons are excellent swimmers and have highly septic bite, or so it is believed). There are also a species of lizards called Bearded Dragons and I believe that they are indigenous to the Austrailia, but don't take my word on that, I am not sure of their place of origin.

Now for the good stuff, originally dragons were found all over the world in various myths and cultures. Dragons have been reported in both North and South America, most notably the Adena-Hopewell myths of the Thunderbird and the Meso-Amerind concept of Quetzacouatl (I hope I spelled that right). A Roman Legion was supposed to have fought a dragon outside of Alexandria, Egypt about 150 B.C., and in the Apocalyptic Acts of the Apostles, several of the original followers of Jesus fought dragons in the Middle East. Of course there are the tales of Gilgamesh and his battles with Tiamat, the nine headed dragon of ancient lore, and also the Bible mentions the Leviathan, which has many of the same characteristics of a dragon. In Europe, there are the Scandinavian tales of Fafnir, the Midgard Serpent, and a slew of other dragons. And in the far-East, China and Japan alone have tons of stories and beliefs in dragons. As a matter of fact, the tale of Gojira (Americanized into Godzilla) is from a old Japanese tale of a sea-dragon.

If you want to get into the mythos of the D & D realms, then the Red Dragon, aka draco conflagratis horiblis, is primarily located in volcanic regions, green dragons live in forests and other associated pastoral areas. The black dragon lives in swamps, and the brown dragons live in deserts.

My favorites dragons, the Dragons of Pern, are genetically modified flying inhabitants of the planet Pern, which was colonized by folks from Earth. The dragons of Pern and their riders, fight to keep the skies of Pern free from the deadly threat of thread, a voracious and highly caustic mycohrozzoid spore that eats any organic material.

Dragon - world, where friendly Lindworms and happy cockatrices frolic among the flaming breath of the Louhi.

No of course not. The only place dragons still live is in the Lost City of Ry"legh beneath the waves, were dread cthulhu and santa claus togetther plot world domination.

Actually, spiritists say dragons still exist but they are on a higher plane of existance.

'Dragon' is often a term for a strong spiritual force that is connected with a large landscape feature, like the great mountain ranges in Japan which are said to be sleeping dragons. These large mountain ranges and other features of the natural world have their own energy which can be immense and which can 'reject' certain travellers on them.
'Dragon' is also a term that means 'soul perfected' or 'soul completed'.

They live in the ethereal realm because they are ethereal beings. This means they won't take physical form often. That takes effort. While some dragons are not adverse to expending effort and working hard for a goal, many are like lazy cats.

They don't live anywhere on Earth. If you mean fictional dragons, well, those have been put in just about every possible habitat, although the most common places are usually caves, mountains and dungeons.

If you mean real dragons, there are many in Indonesia. Komodo dragons are abundant there. If you're looking for fire-breathing dragons, tough luck.

Large dragons live on in our species memory. Just as the fear of snakes is a species memory.
