I purchased a TOMTOM One about 6 months ago for $499. I was at Radio Shack today and now the price is only $299. Can anyone tell me why the price dropped so drastically?

I don't believe that It actually dropped $200 all at once today, if that is what you meant. It dropped $100 about a month or so ago (if memory serves) and the other $100 went today. I don't believe that the TomTom One has been discontinued or anything like that. All GPS units have dropped a decent amount in price over the last few months. That's just the nature of retail, once things have been in stores for a while the prices begin to drop.

No, but thanks for the info. I've been looking at getting one.
