First of all you should definitely use a moisturiser no matter how oily your skin is. Get one that is formulated for oily skin and be sure your skin is cleansed very thoroughly before using it. If you have oily skin, at your age it is best to cleanse and moisturise 3 times a day, and if you are getting breakouts perhaps even at lunch time too.
Do not used pressed powder. It is the worst thing for your age skin because it will clog your pores and cause breakouts. If you just want to take the shine off, try Ponds Vanishing cream which will give you a nice matt finish which lasts well through the day and helps to absorb oil. It is very cheap, but if you are totally broke you could instead of powder try a tiny amount of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda - your mum will have some in the kitchen) - just dust it loosely over your T-zone (forehead nose and chin) with a big brush.

Is it possible for you to go to a salon that does make up or maybe go to cosmetic counter. Sometimes they give mini makovers or demonstrations. I would look up Cosmotologist in the yellow pages online or Call up a department store and have them connect you to the cosmetic counter for advice.
Just remember If you have to do it yourself? Less is more.
Try experimenting with some Pinks or Gold tones.
Eyeshadow should be applied from the inner eye outward over the lid not the entire eye.You might want to try a white eye shadow above the lid, seeing as your dark skinned. If you want to use mascara, dip the brush in and out then wip the brush with a tissue to get the exess off, then apply to the tips of your top lashes. Good Idea to use a clear mascara to start with to see how it comes out, then use a black color. Use a light pink on the cheeks, blending on the apples of your cheeks, use light stroaks, don't brush downward, brush upwards toward your ears.
Use a light pink lip gloss. You should be fine.
If you can, look in magazines or watch How Do I look on the style network, they have a make up portion of the show also Makover Manor on the Style Network.

I use Clinique pressed powder that I get at the department store, but not all the time. I never leave the house without eyeliner and lip gloss though. Sometimes a little makeup goes a long way!

try powder foundation...just regualr powder stuff from Loreal or Maybelline. sometime liquid can really dry ur face out and since ur only in middle school you dont want to look to fake and dried out. make sure you keep washing it everyday with a special face wash thats for oily and blemish skin type, that should work!
good luck!!! :)

I wouldn't recommend wearing ANY makeup at all!! All the powder will do is clog your pores and give you zits. Instead, they sell these oil-absorbing sheets and they are awesome. Whenever you notice your face is getting shiny, just dab one of the papers all over your face and it absorbs all of it. Natural looks better than putting stuff on.

don't start putting any powders on you are too young!! powders will clog your pores and you can break out since you are just going through puberty... but if you decide to use it, try and avoid cheap make up and make sure you remove it every night!!!! :;) good luck!

your number one make-up tip: play up your eyes or your lips, NEVER both.
you need no powder, a little foundation (spot treatment, not all over) will take care of zits. Then eyeshadow or a colored lipgloss.
