very good song with a mix of styles and sounds, was being played on radio1 four weeks ago but not any more, which is strange

It sounds like you're on about Knights of Cydonia by Muse which they took off the R1 playlist about that time. It's on their album Black Holes and Revelations which is brilliant.

Blackmore's Night? They do medieval folk rock. They are a great band.
