The music video was created specifically for the song. The song even had to be extended in parts to get the whole point across. "Into the Great Wide Open" was where Johnny Depp pretty much got his acting debut. Really good music video....

It's not from a movie. Johnny made the Tom Petty video when he was first becoming popular.

Tom had 2 big hits in 1991...So Im guessing its one of these two songs--Learning to Fly and Into the great wide open...Hopefully that can help a little..
