About the age of 13 or so, when you start to enter into puberty.
Masturbation is self-stimulation of the genitals, whether male or female.

Your mom should answer these. Here is my 2 cents:
1. masturbate - ejaculate by hand job
2. erection - hard on
3. have sex - doing the sex act
Sex is not a sin and needs to keep it private, you should have an open mind to yourself. Ask questions like you are doing now and have a positive attitude about sex.

I'm a moderator at a teenage puberty forum, and most members have said that they never have wet dreams. Perhaps if all boys were innocent angels and didn't masturbate, perhaps we'd all get them eventually (wet dream aka nocturnal emissions happen when the body needs to release excess/old semen). So chances are that if he's masturbating by now, he may not get one (he may still).
