i'm 14 and i'm wondering would it be okay to trim down there? And you shouldn't wear anything right?
also i have a sister ( were twins ) would it be a good idea if she would help me? The reason i'm asking is I would like to go with no panties on the weekends

WOW-some people are very strange, and no I don't mean you I mean some of the people who have answered this question. Only last weekend I went out and did not wear any underwear- I was wearing white dress pants and you would have been able to see my underwear through them so I didn't wear any. It's not unusual at all for girls to go without underwear, especially with some of the dresses and pants that we wear.
Anyway to answer you question I am a Beauty Therapist and it is fine to trim your pubic hair, sometimes if I leave it too long in between waxes I trim. My sister is 3 years older than me and we always did each others waxing, trimming etc when we were your age (actually we started when she was 13 and I was only 10 waxing her) so there is nothing wrong with her doing it to you.
When you are trimming you can use small sewing or beauty scissors. Hold the hair up and carefully trim bits away, do it in very small sections so that you do not hurt yourself (like cut your skin OUCH) have a tissue or bag beside you to put the hairs straight into. If you do it yourself either sit on the toilet and trim or sit on a newspaper so that you dont end up with little curly hairs everywhere. Don't wear underwear when you are trimming as its easier to see what you are doing without it- You don't want to cut yourself.
Once you have trimmed the hair you could even get your sister to wax it for you. It is much easier when their is less hair and because of this it wont pull as much so it will be less painful.

You can trim there, but I am a little concerned for your reasons. You should still wear underwear! The best thing, I think, is to go to a spa or salon that specializes in hair removal. (especially the first time) and they will teach you the proper way. It can lead to skin irritations if not done properly.
