If the nail polish remover with acetone (a must) doesn't take it out, then make it a decoration. Try a small area with the polish remover first, to see what it does to the fabric.
"If you get a lemon, make lemonade." It's an old saying, but it really applies here. If the polish won't come out, paint over it, sew around it on zig-zag stitch, then cut the hole out, put beads on it, cut it into a skirt. All of those will be fun and give you a new look. Google decorated jeans or jean art or denim art, see what others have done to their jeans.

Hmm, putting a patch might work, but I have some other suggestions. Do you like the distressed looking jeans? If you do, I suggest using bleach. Bleach will not only take the stain out, but also fade your jeans. If you bleach them in spaced out areas, then it will look like you did it on purpose. Another suggestion is to go with the paint- take fabric paint in colors close to your nail polish and paint away! Go to town on chossing patterns of paint and stuff.
Like you said though, making it into a miniskirt would work, and so would the patch. Good Luck!

Put some nail polish remover on it, JUST KIDDING!!! DON'T CAUSE IF YOU DO THERE WILL BE A BIG WHOLE IN YOUR JEANS!!! You might want to try all the cleaning products that won't bleach or stain on your jeans. Or you could make it a skirt.

Drycleaners can probably get it out, although there might be a light spot remaining if you already washed the jeans. If you like the jeans, it's certainly worth a try.
Drycleaners can do amazing things. I spilled a bottle of red ink down the front of a gray silk dress, and after drycleaning you couldn't tell it had ever happened.
