I think that would be categorizing Hispanic women in general and that is not all of us. I could say that categorizing someone can show you how ignorant someone can be because it is true. Is it? I am Hispanic and I have been told that I look as though I have expensive taste because of what I wear, but I am very open about where I find my buys. Goodwill. As far as I know they do not sell Gucci handbags and Versaci lines. I am content with the ensemble I tag myself with. There should be no reason not to look good whether you are Black, White, Indian, or Hispanic. By the way, I do not like those BMW, Lexus, or Cadi's, I am content with my 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo.

No one has a patent on materialism. Most people like nice stuff. Being too materialistic is a burden in the long run because you are always chasing that fix to have the latest what not. As people mature they normally should not place such values on gizmos. I love fancy stuff but I can only enjoy one pair of shoes, watch, pants, shirt, car, etc. at a time. I love fancy food and cheap food. Learn to appreciate what you have and learn to enjoy what ever you have. People like you describe are just self-serving, greedy, high maintenance people that need commercial garbage to have any self-esteem. Low self-esteem is often the cause of materialism. It just so happens they are hispanic but I assure you all people male and female have a tendancy to be this way. Don't be predjudice and lose a part of you and your quality that is compromised by judging a race of people because some of the ones you are focused on represent all hispanics as a whole. I noticed what you describe amongst all races of people male and female.

I agree I go to a college where %85 of the ppl there are hispanic...they dont even flush or wipe the toliet seats after they use "el bano"...They are some pretty nasty ppl...I've been to colleges/schools that had mostly blacks whites or mixed races and the bathrooms were always clean...but this school was different, I looked around and notice that it was full of spics....
Hispanic women are taught to be this way b/c thats all most of them can accomlish..they lay on their backs and produce babies...@ least they can look good while doing it.
