Is,nt it weird when you hear of people that have strived for or by birth right are in homes that yes maybe seem like a dream. Still, within that huge domain they often choose the smallest room and coasist room to spend their day to day living. I guess it goes to show that at the end of the day, its not the house we live in but the people whe share that house with that really matters. Does that sound to simply? Not really.

I've always wanted a small cabin along the Canadian boarder with a well and a fireplace. Just big enough to get by.

I know JUST what you mean, but still, it really depends on the family! Some DO like to gather round the kitchen or wherever. Others, like MY family, who live in a Victorian fixer-upper, like to spread out and do our own things. That way, we can NOT get on each other's nerves; my kid can talk on the phone or IM any of the friends he likes, while I read or watch Discovery, while my spouse listens to Robert Johnson blues records.

It's all about lifestyle. IF you mean those rich people who build huge seaside mansions and only visit once a year...then, yeah, that's just idiotic, wasteful AND morally wrong, since homeless people could live there!

A home with enough rooms for a happy family.
don't see the point of unused empty rooms...
Give me a nice comfy lived in home anytime...

If I must clean it the latter, but if I have maids the first choice. Either way I want a happy family so it really doesn't matter.

I wouldn't like a big house, I guess for some people it's a status symbol, like a big car or big diamond or whatever. They think big means better.

I wouldn't like a home that's huge, where you have to call your kids on the phone for dinner.

Mmmmmmmm....??? Do I get maids and housekeepers and cooks?

We could rollerblade or play tag thru it or something. I could take a whole room for a home office. Another one to store my handicraft supplies.
