If I said " Every white person I met is stupid" would I be a racist? Completely hypothetical question.

No you would just be expressing your opinion and probably piss some one off and they would cry and raise hell and all that. Racism is a natural thing, and always will be when it comes down to the nitty gritty. When it gets down to life and death you will most always choose your own kind without the doubt put in your mind by the do gooders that don't do crap they want to try to control other folks with their opinion.

Well I would ask you who are you meeting, and how many.
For example, if you have only met 5 white people in your entire life and every single one of them was exceptionally stupid, your statement is a fact, not the truth necessarily, but not racist. But if you based your perception of white people on that small group, and said instead all white people are stupid, then that is racist.

I agree wit Sofia. Ur only talkin' about the people you've met. Although, I'm Black so it doesn't refer to me.
White people will see this and get offended anyway. I'd be offended, too if u said Black people. I mean, if u said "ALL white people r stupid", then yes. That would be racist. But ur not talkin' about the entire race. So, no. It's not racist.

No
Its not a generalization of the whole race.
Just like if I said, "Every white person I have met is racist"
I know there are some white people who aren't racist, but all that I have met are.

Hmmm well what kind of person does that make you if you say that about the people you meet. No one is stupid yes people have different opinions but that's life. Don't put others down just worry about yourself. To call others names whether based on their intillect or race is STUPID. Really don't worry about others let them do their thing and you do yours even if you try to teach people or help them they just listen to themselves.

Well I don't see it as a racial comment and I am white, it is a comment may not be said aloud, people are not stupid no matter what culture, you may ask yourself what was bothering you and address that issue, sometimes something is bothering me and I say stupid things. I don't mean to though.

It is never racist to put down white people in our society, but heaven forbid you say anything no matter how true about blacks and watch the word racist fly left and right.

Yes that is racist. Anytime you make a statement about an entire race is racist by definition. Anyone saying differently is just plain wrong. It doesn't matter what race you are, it is still racist to say it.

If it's true, no.
But! If you assumed that all white people are stupid, then you are STEREOTYPING, demonstrating a shallowness of thought on your part.
Furthermore! If you didn't meet those white people with an open mind as to their behavior and culture, then they never had a chance to begin with, and you're demonstrating BIAS, demonstrating your incapacity to adapt and accept others.
I find it to be pretty ignorant, myself.

Actually, to be scientifically correct, you should say something like pink or olive. The only truly white people are Albinos.
