Yea, I might buy a Harvest Moon game for GameCube cuz my sister wants it. I was just wondering which is better: Magical Melody or A Wonderful Life.
Like, which is funner, which one has more activities?

ok, i have all the harvest moon games for the gamecube and i have to say that a wonderful life is totally the way to go. it has better graphics(if you really care about graphics), you have a farm all set for you so you don't have to go like a year without any animals, and it's way more addicting.
one major thing i like better about a wonderful life than magical melody is that you live an entire life. in magical melody your son stops growing after he just learns how to walk,and then you just keep on living forever and nothing changes and nothing new happens, but in a wonderful life your son grows up until an adult, and everbody in the town ages including you...until you die(but that doesn't happen for lots of years...or 7 chapters(chapters can contain more than one year))
another thing i like better is that you start with a farm. in magical melody you get a plot of land with just your house on it, but in a wonder life you get a complete farm. you have a barn, a chicken coop, your house...everything, and you even start with a cow that already gives milk. so because you have a whole farm with feilds already you can start farming right away.
so i like a wonderful life WAY better than magical melody. it's more realistic and seems to have more of a plot to it than magical melody does.

One important thing to consider is if your sister has played any of the other Harvest Moon titles and which ones she enjoyed.
Magical Melody is more like classic Harvest Moon, seasons are all 30 days long and the goal is to cut lumber, plant and harvest crops and slowly build your farm up while getting to know the people in the city. Magical melody sets 100 specific goals to attain.
A wonderful life (or Another wonderful life if you want to play as a female) while like the original has several distinct differences. Namely the game covers an entire lifetime, in which your character and his/her family grows up and eventually dies. A wonderful life is more so about your interactions with people in the city than actual work on the farm. The choices you make in these interactions are what will determine how things change in the next cycle which i believe only lasts like 20 days in total.

I have played both. A Wonderful life, you can only play as a guy but it is really good and somewhat addicting for the first few hours. Another Wonderful life, you can only play as a girl but it's not bad, just a better version of A Wonderful life. Magical Melody, although it has many more features, is less addicting. It is a good game except you get bored after a while and may fall asleep literally. The graphics in a wonderful life and another wonderful life are more pleasing. Your sister would probably should get another wonderful life but if you plan on playing get a wonderful life or both. Magical melody is very good, you should get that if its around $20. If a wonderful life is cheaper, get that too!

I haven't played A Wonderful Life, but I do know that you can only play a boy on it. Magical Melody is a very addicting game that really has no point once you rescue the harvest goddess. It is fun while it lasts though. The minigames stink, but the actual gameplay has a lot of good points. Oh, and you can play either a girl or a boy.

i perfer a wonderful life. magical melody seems weird to me, cuz the object is to find all the sprites to get the goddess like unfrozen or dumthing. a wonderful life is the normal game, a farm, u please a girl get married get a kid live happily ever after. u should rent the games first from like blockbuster to see which one is more fun. hope this helps! =)

there both pretty fun and have activities but I like magic melody better it has more activities. good luck!!!!!!!!!!
