before my daughter was born, i was hoping for a boy and i was going to name him zen, but i had a girl and named her karma. both me and my husband are kinda hippies, but it's all about what is meaningful to you.

I feel the same way about my name. My name is Shaye and growing up with a class full of Jennifer's and Ashley's also being born in the early 80's I felt that my parents were trying to torture me. I love my name now. I like the fact that you don't come across a Shaye everyday. It is actually being used more now than ever before.

Anyway, some suggestions:

For Girls:
- Shaye :)
- Clarissa
- Marley
- Carlyn
- Marcy
- Evelyn
- Eloise
- Eleanora
- Daphne
- Grier
- Presley
- Piper
- Taryn
- Saylor
- Margeaux or Margo (Megan is the cutest nickname or Maggie)
- Claire
- Mallory
- Anastasia
- Claudia
- Chandlee
- Monica
- Lucille (Lucy)

Good Luck! I hope that these help! SD

We named our five month old daughter Saioa (sigh-oh-ah). It's a Basque name and we love it. Her middle name is Capri.
