Why don't you ask her if you could go to lunch with her or something that way you can talk to her then. Then she wont feel so awkward, do you have her number so you can call her after work or something?

It is very great that you found a close friend and be open up and share your feelings with her. Just do it naturally! No planning. You have to be able to be free toward your friend. If you have something botherin you now, then say it now. Just start off with, "i kind of have something bothering me" If she cares, she is triggered and ask more. Friends are to have friends backs. It doesnt matter where and when.

Step one, dont do it at work. Go out after work and hang out and bring it up. It all depends on how open you can be with others and how up and receptive this friend is. Good Luck...

If you are as close as you say you are then I would invite her/him out to dinner to talk, or somewhere private. I would not talk to her/him at work ; there may be other "ears" around listening.

Nothing wrong with being kind to co workers. Do Not take your personal problems to work it is unethical . If you have problems get councilor.
