Yes, I believe we would live better lives. At least most people would make the most of the time they had left. I'm sure their priorities would be organized quickly. Many people take their lives for granted and do not appreciate the time they have. None us know how long we will live, but if we did know I think we would pay more attention to family, friends and nature. That is usually what happens when a person finds out they have a terminal illness. There is a period of depression and soul-searching, then they, for the most part, get on with their lives. Myself, I don't think I would want to know the exact time. I hope it is when I am old, worn out from living, and when I am in a sound sleep.

There are many things that determine when an individual will die, we do not have a set time to die. We know that human life expectancy is around 77 years, some manage a little more, a few a lot more, some substantially less. One thing we all know is that we will die eventually. We also all know that risk taking increases the likelihood of an early death, yet many are reckless as though they relish this. Perhaps researching the behaviors of risk takers and none risk takers would help answer this question. However the determining factors regarding their risk or none risk taking could be an intrinsic part of their personality. This is an area that would be fraught with difficulty. You would need to ask; what determines what sort of personality a person will have? You would probably need to ask other questions too.

I'm not sure if we'd live a better life, but at least we would think thoroughly about the use of time; therefor, we could be able to manage situations in different ways, maybe learn to cope with issues at the right time.
Would I rather know or not?
Perhaps I would mix both options and choose to think that I could have the opportunity to know, but I choose not to, still thinking I could live differently, which would be enough to change things in time to make things better.
Not sure I made myself clear :S

I'd rather cross the bridge when I come to it. why make the moment bad when am not even sure what will happen the next moment. We live better lives when we choose to make an effort to do so. It is how we perceive what happens the makes life better or worse...

As to when we will die, this we can never know.
As to when we will live - this we do know - today. It's the only day anyone can ever have. This is the day. If we live it well, and do the best we can, then we will not have to regret, when the time to die comes.

Personally mine wouldn't be much different. Well we all know we're going to die at some point so surley we know that we all need to make the most of it anyway!
My philosipy is enjoy life to the full, you only get one chance and you never know how long it's going to last!! Could get hit by a bus tomorrow!!

We are all going to die - at some point or another - and to deny that is denying life as well, IMO.
Would I rather know the exact date? No. I'll live my life like there's no replacing it as is. It's good enough to know that I'm going to die someday anyway.

I think I would rather not know because it would be too frightening. I'm not sure I'd live a better life if I did know. I think I'd be too inclined to not really believe it and take it seriously enough to try to be a better person.

No. I've heard teachers say that if all the students in a given class had the exam paper a day before the exam, the 'good' students would study it, but the 'less serious' students wouldn't! Think about it.
