I don't think America won the war for us, it's far from being a simple equation. We were being supplied by the Americans for some time and had lots of American pilots flying with us from the UK before the US officially joined in. We held the line and destroyed the Luftwaffe at a key point though. Not long after that the Germans made a huge tactical mistake by invading Russia, and at the wrong time of year too. The Russians weathered that onslaught with massive loss of military and civilian lives, then counterattacked Germany, eventually pushing them all the way back to Berlin. The real question might be, would Russian Communism be as weak is it is today if it had not had to bow to the NATO (including America) rules of how to split up Germany and the rest of Eastern Europe...

Lol, i told my three-year old today that Barbie lives in Hollywood. And she already knows that people in Hollywood are very lazy. They don't like cleaning their teeth and drink too much coffee, tea and red wine. And it makes their teeth dirty and then they go to the dentist and get plastic ones. And that is why all their teeth look so nice and white. Because they are made from plastic!
As for your democracy ... nothing democratic about a two-party system really.
The world would probably be a more peacefull place without the Americans.
Ever wondered how many wars the Americans have been involved in since WW2? Too many to mention ....

I am sorry, but I have to say you are talking trash. The USA is no more free than any other wester power. The Presedent is doing things that a massive number of people in the country do not agree with. The level of tax is not much different than most European countries. The health care system and insurance thereof SUCKS. If you own a house you almost have to have it for fear of loosing your home if you were to to have a major illness, but you still end up paying way too much.
If you think that's freedom what the heck did you bother fighting the war of independance for, you are in exactly the same boat as everyone else.

I have never been to America and any Americans I have met in person have been pleasant and friendly. One facet of the American outlook I cannot fathom is that individually they are generous and rational but collectively, or at least in their names, the most appalling acts of savagery have been committed, leaving references to freedom and democracy as symptoms of deluded hypocrisy. Extraordinary rendition (kidnapping and torture) direct and indirect interference in other countries affairs and the presumption of some inalienable right to manipulate the entire planet to protect and further American interests are not the hallmarks of freedom and democracy to anyone who is not an American. Then came the Patriot Act.

I've nearly stopped laughing ... hang about .... there we go. Where on Earth do you think you got your concepts of freedom and democracy from? The Mayflower left England with all our best (and probably worst) ideologies. Why do you think that they called it NEW England. They didn't want to form a completely different country, they wanted to live by themselves in the way they always had - the English ... British way. YOU only live the way you do because of US. ..... Oh, what a thought.

The US is a republic, not a democracy. Democracy was an ancient Greek concept, not an American original.
Freedom - well that's all in your perspective.
